Scholarship Presentation Ceremony 2025

The Scholarship Presentation Ceremony was held on 12 March, 2025, Wednesday at The Japan Society of Hong Kong. This is the 33rd Scholarship and there were 147 scholarship recipients in total over the past 33 years. This year, five Hong Kong teenagers Mr. Lau Sin Leung Paul, Mr. Yu Louis Pak Hei, Mr. Dai Quan, Miss. Yuen Hey Weng Symphony and Mr. Chong Cheuk Lam are subsidized for studying in Japan, each with half a million Japanese Yen, by the “Scholarship of The Japan Society of Hong Kong”.

 

The guests of the ceremony included Mr. Shigehiro Nishiumi, Deputy Consul-General of Japan in Hong Kong, Mr. Teruo Funahashi, Committee Chairman of The Hong Kong-Japan Cultural and Educational Exchange Foundation, Mr. Makoto Wakita, Secretary General of The Hongkong Japanese Club, Mr. Tomonari Tanabe, The Japanese-Language Advisor of Japan Foundation and Ms. Maggie Leung, President of Society of Japanese Language Education Hong Kong.

 

It was great to have Ms. Zhou Baoshan, recipient of the 2023 Japan Society Scholarship to share her learning experience with all of us.
