- What is Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU)?
Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU) is a semi-official examination used to evaluate whether international students who wish to study at the undergraduate level at universities or other such higher educational institutions in Japan possess the Japanese language skills and the basic academic abilities, such as Art, Science and Mathematics, needed to study at those institutions. Therefore, this is also a university entrance examination. - How to choose the examination subject? Is EJU administered in Japanese only?
EJU is composed of four subject tests: Japanese, Science, Japan and the World and Mathematics. Applicants may make the choice in accordance with the requirements of the institutions that hope to enter (Refer to JASSO website: https://www.jasso.go.jp/, please refer to each institution for specific details). Note that applicants cannot take both the Science test and the Japan and the World test.

No. EJU is not administered in China. It is administered since 2010 EJU (2nd session) in Hong Kong, where it is authorized to be the host by Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO). Therefore, EJU is held in Hong Kong where non-residents of Hong Kong can take it as well. - Is there limitation for applying EJU?
No. There is no limitation for the application of EJU. However, please pay attention to the result submit to the institution applied is restricted to the one in the last two years. The institutions may have specific limitation of the results, of which session and which year. Please confirmed with the institutions for other specification.
