Scholarship Presentation Ceremony 2026

The Scholarship Presentation Ceremony was held on 11 March, 2026, Wednesday at The Japan Society of Hong Kong. This is the 34th Scholarship and there were 152 scholarship recipients in total over the past 34 years. This year, five Hong Kong teenagers Ms. Cheung Ho Yan, Ms. Sze Shun Kwan, Ms. Yip Tsz Ching, Ms. Yeung Tsz Yi and Mr. Tang Ngai Chun are subsidized for studying in Japan, each with half a million Japanese Yen, by the “Scholarship of The Japan Society of Hong Kong”.

 

The guests of the ceremony included Mr. Kazuki Matsubara, Deputy Consul-General of Japan in Hong Kong, Mr. Juichi Ohsawa, President of The Hongkong Japanese Club, Mr. Teruo Funahashi, President of The Hong Kong - Japan Cultural and Educational Exchange Foundation Limited, Mr. Tomonari Tanabe, The Japanese-Language Advisor of Japan Foundation and Ms. Maggie Leung, President of Society of Japanese Language Education Hong Kong.

 

It was great to have Mr. Ip Chun Yin, recipient of the 2022 Japan Society Scholarship to share his learning experience with all of us.
