Scholarship Presentation Ceremony 2024

The Scholarship Presentation Ceremony was held on 13 March, 2024, Wednesday at The Japan Society of Hong Kong. This is the 32nd Scholarship and there were 142 scholarship recipients in total over the past 32 years. This year, four Hong Kong teenagers Ms. Chan Chi Yung Andria, Mr. Hui Ming Hin, Ms. Leung Cheuk Nga and Ms. Yow Tsz Wing are subsidized for studying in Japan, each with half a million Japanese Yen, by the “Scholarship of The Japan Society of Hong Kong”.

 

The guests of the ceremony included Ambassador Kenichi Okada, Consul General of Japan in Hong Kong, Mr. Hiroshi Masaki, President of The Hongkong Japanese Club, Mr. Teruo Funahashi, Committee Chairman of The Hong Kong-Japan Cultural and Educational Exchange Foundation and Mr. Tomonari Tanabe, The Japanese-Language Advisor of Japan Foundation.

 

It was great to have two former recipients to share their experience with us. Ms. Zhou Baoshan, recipient of the 2023 Japan Society Scholarship shared her learning experience by video presentation. Mr. Shum Kai Ho, recipient of the 2016 Japan Society Scholarship shared his career development experience after studying in Japan.
